Having never done any form of embalming beforehand, I had no idea what to expect... being thrown in at the deep end was daunting at first but looking back... it was the best way to learn. I was able to learn from my errors and was subjected to a far more specialised form of teaching that allowed me to gain confidence with each case that I was involved with. Overall, there is absolutely nothing negative that I can say about the entire week.
There are no minimum qualifications required to attend the course and it is suitable for those with no previous experience in the funeral profession.
Student placements on the course will be offered, in the first instance, to those applicants already employed within the funeral industry and/or medical profession. If we have any free dates available following this first selection then these may be offered to applicants with no experience in either field.
